Providing Peace of Mind

A home is the single biggest purchase you will ever make. It is important to understand the condition of your most valuable investment. Cabins to Castles Home Inspection provides the comprehensive inspection you expect from a professional and a thorough report you can rely on to make a confident decision.
As a Certified Master Inspector trained by the American Home Inspection Training Institute, I follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, which ensures that you receive a detailed and accurate home inspection.  I also abide by a strict NC Code of Ethics, which puts your interests first and protects your rights as a consumer.
I understand how stressful a real estate transaction can be. Whether you are buying or building a new home, selling the one you currently live in, or are purchasing an investment, let Cabins to Castles Home Inspection give you an informed inspection to provide a peace of mind you deserve to make the proper choice for your family.

Home Buyer

Buying a home can involve stress from unknowns. Your home inspection will provide insight into typical maintenance recommendations and system or safety concerns. These can be insightful findings.
Issues that truly matter for a home fall into four categories:

1-major defects

2-conditions that can lead to major defects

3-issues that may hinder your ability to finance, legally occupy, or insure the home if not remedied immediately

4-safety hazards.

Being aware of structural, safety or system defects can prevent further complications and are necessary in the negotiation of the purchase of the home.

It's important to understand that a seller is under no obligation to repair what is conveyed in the home inspection report. No home is perfect. Keep a realistic perspective. Remember that owning a home is a gratifying experience and a necessary responsibility.

Cabins to Castles Home Inspection can help you create an annual maintenance plan that will keep your family safe and your home in top condition for decades to come.

Home Seller
Are you selling your home? Let Cabins to Castles Home Inspection inspect it before you list it. A pre-listing inspection alerts you to any defects or problems with your home so you can address issues before prospective buyers discover them.  You can then take the time to obtain suitable repair estimates. I can help you determine what repairs are most necessary and those that may be appropriate to delay. Having a Seller’s Pre-Listing Inspection can sometimes justify your full asking price. A clean pre-listing report can be a powerful tool.

Water Testing

Chemical and biological water testing is offered on all home inspections but is especially recommended at homes with a well. Move into your new home with peace of mind, knowing your water is safe for your family to consume. Knowing the mineral composition of your water can aid in determinding the necessity of water softening/treatment and can protect your fixtures and appliances from premature corrosion. Water testing cam be completed at the time of the inspection and results are reported within days of the receipt of the inspection report.

Radon Testing

Radon is the product of radioactive decay of radium, naturally emitted as gas from the ground in granite rich areas. While radon levels are not as concerning here at the beach as in the piedmont and mountain regions, it is important to be aware of radon levels that exceed the recommended safe levels. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Being aware of elevated levels allows for the potential to remediate using various methods. I test for radon using a professionally calibrated machine that registers constant levels over several days (more accurate than the cardboard kit testing devices). A report is sent to the client a few days after the inspection report is completed.
